The Curtiss Hawk was a mostly fabric-covered biplane made of wood and metal, produced as a fighter in the early to mid-1930s US. These planes were among the last biplanes created for military use before modernization began ahead of World War II. The P-6 Hawk was similar to its naval counterpart, the F-11-C2 Goshawk, with differences including engine types: air-cooled radial in the former and water-cooled inline in the latter.
