Curtiss P-40F is built near to scale and includes a lot of detail. The cockpit is well populated with seat, bullet proof shield, instruments, and controls as well as the exterior are complete with animateable flight controls. It also has an animated propeller, animateable landing gear and the canopy can slide open. The landing gear doors may be opened and closed. It is fully textured, and liveries are based on actual service liveries. There are 44 materials and textures used in this model. Many are as small as 200 x 200 pixels while others like wings are quite large at 2137x551 pixels. Textures are jpeg format in almost all cases. A Mtl file is included in the obj download. Many of the countries who flew the plane are represented here. It can be used in an animated or static position within an animated video or possibly for programming for a flight simulation application. The P-40F Warhawk was late 1930s development of the Curtiss Aircraft company P-40 family of fighter planes in anticipation of a need for a maneuverable dogfighter. P-40F and P-40L, both featured Packard V-1650 Merlin engine, and thus did not have the carburetor scoop on top of the nose. Supplied to the Commonwealth air forces under the designation Kittyhawk Mk II. It was produced in numbers for the US Army Air Corp as a front-line fighter, then US Army Air Force and then later as a second line fighter when Mustangs, Thunderbolts and Lightening came on into service. They were sent to every area of operations and environment on the planet.
