It came to realization that the top doesn't flex enough to allow the rod to drop inside of it, so a careful approach is necessary to avoid breakage. The rod can still be slid in from the side or forced from above with caution. A new version will be available soon, as well as a version designed for 1/2 metal conduit pipe. This product is specifically made for Copper 1/2 pipe found at Lowes or Homedepot. The mounting screws are #8 wood screws and the front screw is whatever fits best.
