Curtain Slide

Curtain Slide

thingiverse

All of the door and window curtains in our house have a plastic slide which the curtain hooks onto. The problem is after a few years the UV eventually makes the original plastic slides brittle and break. These particular type of slides aren't easy to replace as not too many stores keep them in stock. Worse still, they charge $6.00 for a pack of 10 slides! I decided it was about time to produce my own and this is the result. I usually print 24 at a time which costs $1.10 (around 4.6c each). This is less than a tenth of the purchase price. Finally, I also made the curtain hook hole slightly larger than the original to make it easier to connect and remove whenever needed. Using Cura, I personally find better results when I print the slide on its end with support enabled.
