I am designing custom curtain rods with unique knob ends, aiming for a simple yet elegant look. After printing the parts, I will apply an initial coat of spray paint. There are now sprays available that provide both a metallic appearance and texture. As an example, Rust-Oleum offers a stone-look spray paint (http://www.rustoleumspraypaint.com/sites/default/files/stone-mineral-brown.png).
