Curtain Ring
thingiverse
My lovely wife is hanging new curtains in one of our bedrooms and hit a snag with the rings. The double-layered material is too thick for the inserts to fit properly, so I decided to take on the challenge of creating some myself. They are held together with M3 screws and nuts. This is what I've managed to come up with... These custom curtain ring holders were designed using Tinkercad. You can edit them online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/b5BmrOUOvmB and https://www.tinkercad.com/things/6T9EuAyvtLG Print Settings: Printer Brand: Deltaprintr Printer: Deltaprintr Kit Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2, 60mm/sec Infill: 100% Notes: I discovered that cutting an "X" in the fabric and folding the tabs back through the metal grommet helped a lot. Holding them down with hotmelt glue before screwing the two halves together made it much easier. I was able to complete almost 50 of these custom curtain ring holders, and I'm thrilled to have finished the project!
