This is first working version of curtain lifter, which benefits 5V stepper motor and 1:4 gearing. Draft micropython code for the ESP32 here https://github.com/divergentti/kanalanautomaatio/blob/master/esp32-hcr-04-steppermotor4curtain/main.py Components: - ESP32-Wroom-32D or U - 28BYJ-48 5V stepper motor - ULN2003 control board - DC to 5V LM2596 regulator - Level shifter 5V to 3.3V - Microswitch - 625RS bearing (5x16x5) All srews are ISO M3 with 5mm length maximum. Antenna hole and wiring holes are 6.5 mm. Idea of the operation: once distance sensor HC-SR04 (look my other designs for the case) detects a chicken, inside or outside, curtain will be lifted up to the limiter and then released down.
