This is a custom-made curtain grommet that works perfectly with dowels measuring 44mm in diameter, making it ideal for use as a curtain rod with 1" or 1-1/4" dowel rods. The pictures show the grommet securely attached to a 1" dowel.\r\n\r\nTo install, cut a hole in your fabric that matches the inner diameter of the grommet, then snap together two parts on either side of the fabric through the hole, and they will hold together firmly due to friction.
