Curtain Bracket Extender & Holder For Thick Window Frame
thingiverse
If you're struggling with thick or unusual window frames and your regular curtain brackets just can't provide enough space to install the rod, this solution is here to help. It may not be the most visually appealing option out there, but it does get the job done and can support a tremendous amount of weight. Simply scale up the design to 150% and you'll find that a standard 36mm rod fits perfectly inside. At this larger size, the bracket measures approximately 14 cms long (about 5.5 inches), giving you plenty of room to work with. I went overboard and printed it with an unusually high 50% infill setting, but if your curtains aren't excessively heavy, you can probably get away with a lower infill percentage - say 30% or even 25%. Make sure to mirror the file for both sides (the bracket comes equipped with a stopper that prevents using the same file for both sides, so be sure to do this in your slicer). The design features two standard screw holes.
