Cursed Banana - Pop Art / Andy Warhol inspired keychain object
thingiverse
This impractical keychain draws inspiration from an Andy Warhol banana illustration. The color is separated into distinct layers to accommodate single extruder head printing with different filaments. To achieve a high-quality finish, it's recommended to topcoat with XTC-3D for added shine and evenness. The specified layer order is: light pink, dark pink, yellow, black. Filament changes are necessary at 21%, 26%, and 50% (optimized for Cura on TAZ 6). I printed this keychain at a reduced size of 7cm, which is smaller than the recommended scale, to avoid ending up with a tiny banana that's hard to attach to a keychain due to its small size. When scaling down this far, it's crucial to adjust the Z-axis accordingly. I used Polyalchemy Elixir in various shades for this design. Please disregard advice from untrustworthy sources suggesting high-temperature printing in PAE. This is a PLA-based filament that performs optimally at standard PLA temperatures (around 205 degrees). I've dubbed this keychain the "cursed banana" due to its initial resemblance to something else in a banana disguise. To attach your impractical cursed banana, use a jump ring and fasten it to a keychain securely. The hole is a potential weak point that can't withstand excessive pressure. This set includes one flat banana for straightforward printing and a set of matching bananas designed to be glued together using the rectangular peg for added stability, achieving a 3D effect.
