Curling Trophy
thingiverse
I designed this for some keen curling enthusiasts who call it "new age curling," and they wanted a mini trophy to circulate among their curling friends. It has been engineered with the sole support requirement being the handle, while the rest shouldn't need any assistance during printing. To improve print quality, I have isolated the 'feet' from the main body; they will need to be glued to the main body afterwards. The other parts that require gluing are the handle and ball retainers. The plate with the "2020 winners" inscription is designed for easy replacement with new year's data or a fresh design, allowing the old plate to be kept by the winning team of that year. For this reason, I recommend using a temporary adhesive dot rather than super glue. Although 3D printable balls are included, I purchased (at an extremely low cost on eBay) some 14mm ball bearings, which look significantly better. The model even glides smoothly around!
