This is an asset that I created, unwrapped, and textured for the 2018 Regional Emmy-winning "Venture Class Launch Services" film to help NASA's Launch Services Program promote a then upcoming class of rockets. Our team was tasked with producing a fully CGI film primarily focused on showcasing the history of NASA. I specifically requested to be assigned the Curiosity Rover because it presented a challenging model that would serve as a strong piece to showcase my skills. I utilized numerous reference images to achieve an accurate representation, recognizing that this is a highly recognizable and realistic object, any inaccuracies in its depiction would detract from the final film's impact. Furthermore, I analyzed various videos to accurately capture the movement of the rover, ensuring that its "head," "arm," turret, "legs," and wheels could be rigged to replicate the actual movements of the Curiosity Rover in real life.
