Cupid's Bow from Arrow TV Show
thingiverse
This is an exact replica of the recurve bow used by Cupid in the CW TV show Arrow. Crafted for a cosplay costume, this bow can be disassembled to fit into luggage, making it perfect for traveling cosplayers. The entire bow is split down the middle and printed in segments that can be assembled on a Makerbot 2. There are 14 distinct parts in total, with each arm identical, resulting in only eight .stl files. The top and bottom halves of the bow are joined together using glue. Similarly, the four black arm pieces are combined into one solid unit through gluing. The handle and tips are connected via screws. I employed #6-32 x 1in screws for assembly, although I understand this may not be suitable for the metric system. A recess on one side of the bow holds the nut in place, allowing for easy assembly with a screwdriver. The design also includes a model for the heart-shaped arrowhead, which was attached to a real arrow shaft for the costume. The arrowhead required significant post-processing to achieve a smooth finish, whereas the bow itself was printed in black and used directly from the printer without any modifications.
