I made this for a trucking buddy of mine. His cupholders in his big rig would not securely hold his drinks. This insert sits inside the normal cupholder and shims it to fit smaller drinks. Fits a "Bubba Mug" perfectly. These also have large holes on the side to allow for draining if you wanted to mount them on a boat or some such.
