I recently came across this thing on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12560 and thought it would be a great fit for my sister's interests. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that it wasn't designed for standard-sized cupcakes, so I decided to refine the concept and add some flair. My goal was to create a cupcake press that could accommodate regular-sized cupcakes. In addition, I modified the top edge of the design to be more pronounced, hoping this would prevent the paper from tearing as it moved across the surface. As I worked on the project, I started to envision it taking on a regal quality, which is how the Cupcake Queen press came to be named. Following a recent print job, I realized that some adjustments were necessary. The tapered bottom of my original design wasn't allowing for sufficient pleating, so I revised the V2 version to deepen the creases all the way down to the base.
