Cupcake "M" Jar

Cupcake "M" Jar

thingiverse

This jar is designed with a stylish touch for storing miscellaneous items and takes inspiration from the MakerBot logo and MakerGear's Cupcake Z Timing Pulley (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1084). To create, use a 3D printer and access the STL and SolidWorks files provided. The SolidWorks parts are slightly larger than STL ones to ensure smooth printing without overhangs. Sliced raftless in Skeinforge 007 at 0.4mm layer height and 23mm/s feed rate, the base took 1hr 14mins, the cupcake 1hr 25mins, and the cover 25mins. Fasten the cupcake onto the center of the cover using hot glue, then insert into the base for a completed assembly. A creative idea is to leave the excess plastic from the extruder nozzle atop the cupcake part, forming its cherry stem.
