Cupboard Lock
thingiverse
This is a cupboard door lock that I designed and printed in PLA, but I suspect that the PLA may not be robust enough for its intended purpose. I would recommend printing it with a stronger material such as nylon instead. It ratchets around arched cupboard handles just like the picture shows. Depending on how this is printed, it might require additional supports, and could also be less prone to delamination when opening the cupboard. If you decide to print one, please take a picture of it afterwards. Print Settings Printer: My Prusa i3 clone has been working great for me. Rafts: I chose not to use rafts for this project. Supports: I used supports to help stabilize the lock during printing. Resolution: The resolution I set was .3 mm, which should be more than sufficient. Infill: For added strength, I opted for 50-100% infill.
