This is a brand new iteration of my cup turner project, meticulously crafted with precision. Five high-performance bearings (originally designed for skateboard and roller blade enthusiasts) are used to support its mechanical prowess. The main load-bearing shaft boasts a substantial 3/4 EMT diameter, while the framework's remaining components are constructed from durable 1/2-inch PVC pipes and expertly printed parts. As envisioned, this innovative design should be capable of effortlessly spinning up to nine cups simultaneously. Two prototypes have already been successfully printed out and put into operation. In initial testing with no load applied, they functioned flawlessly for an impressive 24 hours without any issues. However, upon loading the motor, it began skipping intermittently. To address this concern, I plan on replacing the existing motor with a new one to determine if that resolves the problem. Soon after, I will be sharing photographs of these prototypes in action. This project remains firmly in the works-in-progress category until it has been thoroughly tested under load and proven to meet its intended performance standards. The five-way cross and leg hole designs were adapted from an existing model available on Thingiverse (specifically: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:533557), with modifications made to suit my specific needs. Due to the substantial cost of a dedicated rotisserie motor, which stands at approximately $40, I have decided to revamp this design to accommodate the motor from a standard rotisserie instead, a component that can be sourced separately for around $5. This change will significantly reduce production costs without compromising performance. For anyone who still requires or wishes to utilize the original rotisserie motor plates or square drive adapter, I will leave this version intact as is.
