Cup measures
thingiverse
This cup can hold approximately 224 ml, equivalent to 1 Cup. Notably, sifted flour scoops can weigh up to 1.5 times that of compressible ingredients. The measuring cup was crafted using Blender for the 1 Cup STL and OpenSCAD for the ¼ Cup version, which offers several advantages: it's parametric, allowing for different measures like ¾ Cup by altering parameters; it's braced for a stronger joint between handle and scoop; and it boasts higher definition circles and ellipses. The Blender STL features the 1 Cup measure while the exported ¼ Cup is from OpenSCAD. The walls are 3 mm wide, and the handle is 5 mm deep. To create a new measuring cup using OpenSCAD, edit variables like brim_radius, base_radius, scoop_depth, and divisor, then re-generate the STL. If the volume doesn't match your intended measure, a warning will be printed; please let me know if you have insights on making OpenSCAD abort in such cases.
