Cup Holder Phone Dock
thingiverse
To address issues with a phone ending up in the cup holder's dirt and lack of charging, create a cup holder phone dock. For Android users who want their phone to switch to 'car mode', add an NFC sticker on the dock's back rest and develop an app that activates this mode when the tag is detected. The source code can be found on GitHub at git://github.com/rvarner/cupHolderDock.git. To build the dock, use ToM + MK7 + HBP with a nozzle heat of 225°C, HBP heat of 115°C, 0 walls, 15% infill, layer height of .32 mm, and speed of 35 mm/s. Customize the .scad file in OpenSCAD to match your phone and car's specifications before generating the .STL file, centering it in ReplicatorG, and printing. Finally, place the dock in your car and enjoy hassle-free charging while driving.
