Cup holder for Porsche 986/996 with Ashtray Delete

Add a cup holder to your Porsche 996 or 986 after deleting the ashtray part. First, pull up the rubber lining and remove the two screws holding it in place. Place the bottom piece of the cup holder in its designated spot - it only fits one way. Put back the screws you removed earlier. Insert the top piece of the cup holder into position. Your modification is now complete. This process can be easily reversed if needed. As a bonus, you can still use the small compartment for storing items, but you'll need to find a safe place for the rubber lining since it won't fit with the cup holder installed.
