Coffee in bed is amazing. There's no better way to wake up than with a fresh cup of coffee in your hands. I designed and built a simple flat platform to hold a coffee cup onto a bed frame, specifically the MALM from IKEA. The design is straightforward, making it easy to adapt or extend to other uses. Future work involves refining the steep angle on the head of the dovetail joint. Even with ideal printing conditions and adequate support material, warping still occurs. A smarter approach might involve integrating the grooves into the body and creating a separate tongue piece that's easier to print. The plate is intended for easy removal from the legs, but a clever retention mechanism could be developed to keep them attached without relying on friction fit, which can be difficult to undo.
