I drive a BMW 1 series that's missing one crucial feature: a cup holder, which becomes a major issue during long drives like the 6-hour ones I regularly take, where I'm forced to awkwardly hold open cans of Red Bull between my legs. Fortunately, there are simple fixes available. Universal cup holders can be easily purchased at an affordable price, or you could opt to swap out your centre console with one from a 1 series that actually has a built-in cup holder. If you're feeling adventurous, there's even the option to browse eBay for 3D printed solutions. However, I wanted to take on this challenge myself, as I have access to a 3D printer and was eager to learn how to use Fusion 360 after getting familiar with FreeCad. So, I designed and created my own custom solution.
