The "cups and balls" trick is one of the oldest magic tricks around. I'm not about to spill the beans on how it's done, but I'm happy to share a prop that makes it shine. Print Settings Printer: Dremel Idea Builder 3D40 Rafts: It really doesn't matter what you choose. Supports: The same goes for supports - they're not necessary in this case. Resolution: A resolution of .10 ensures the cup looks sharp and defined. Infill: If you infill at 100%, it gives the cup a nice weight to it. Notes: This design prints beautifully with no supports, as long as the cup mouth is facing up. It's especially stunning when printed in a composite PLA like Brass or Copper.
