Cup Clamp

Cup Clamp

I'm excited to share this remix of a cup holder designed specifically for use with G-clamps and external water bottles. The original design, available on Thingiverse, is a simple yet effective solution for securing your beverage while working or engaging in other activities that require both hands. This remix aims to enhance the usability and functionality of the original design by making it more adaptable to various water bottle sizes and types. One key modification I've made is the addition of a spring-loaded mechanism that allows for easier installation and removal of the G-clamp. This feature is particularly useful when dealing with external water bottles, as they often have larger diameters than standard cups. To ensure stability and prevent slipping, I've also increased the width of the base plate by 10 mm. This modification provides a more secure grip on flat surfaces, making it ideal for use in a variety of environments. Furthermore, I've incorporated a small notch on the underside of the base plate to accommodate the G-clamp's screw head. This design tweak allows for effortless tightening and loosening of the clamp, reducing the risk of stripping or damaging the threads. In addition to these improvements, I've also refined the overall aesthetic of the design by adding subtle curves and rounded edges. These changes not only make the cup holder more visually appealing but also contribute to its durability and resistance to wear and tear. Overall, this remix offers a robust and versatile solution for securing water bottles in place using G-clamps. Whether you're working on a project or simply need a reliable way to keep your drink within reach, this design is sure to meet your needs.
