Cumberland Falls
sketchfab
I created a 3D model of the Cumberland Falls valley under drought conditions. Although I'm no expert at editing 3D models, it's been over ten years since I last used 3D Studio Max, so this is essentially the raw model, lacking some faces like those underneath the falls and a lot of the water. Photogrammetry doesn't work well on reflective surfaces such as water. I generated this with almost six hundred photos taken from a drone, then processed it through RealityCapture and edited out any bad faces in Meshmixer. Eventually, I'll learn how to add a surface for the water. Other than that, I'm only missing faces in two major areas where I missed in my photography. I'm always learning.
