I snapped one of the upper clamps on my Cullman Magnesit 519 tripod, which boasts an original magnesium construction. I meticulously took precise measurements of the damaged part and created an exact replica, then printed it using ColorFabb XT-CF20 filament. Unfortunately, hindsight reveals that this filament is engineered for rigidity rather than tensile strength. Nevertheless, so far, my makeshift replacement has performed flawlessly despite being crafted from plastic, a stark contrast to the original metal component with identical dimensions.
