Cuisinart pizzelle front clip
thingiverse
I subjected the Cuisinart Pizzelle front clip to a brutal test: 1. I clamped the clip into a vice attached to my drill press. 2. I printed a PLUS sign that fits perfectly onto my drill press. 3. I turned the drill press on full speed. 4. I allowed the plus sign to hit the clip repeatedly, causing it to move back and forth rapidly. 5. After three minutes, the clip still retained its shape but the impact had damaged the corners. The math was clear: 3 minutes x 620 rpm x 4 arms = a staggering 7,440 theoretical OPEN/CLOSE cycles. Also included is an experimental clip that appears to be a significant improvement - it spreads out the bend over the entire curve of the clip. However, this clip has not been subjected to any rigorous testing yet.
