This is a direct replacement component for the Cuisinart DFP-14 line of food processors. Specifically, it's the plastic latch used within the safety mechanism on the bowl cover. It closely mimics the original (a minor distinction exists in one edge of the top piece) and functions as a seamless drop-in substitute. I assume you're reusing the OEM pin that secures it, which works flawlessly with this design.
