Cuff Phone Holder
thingiverse
The wrist cuff phone holder product is designed to overcome the barrier of holding a cellphone while travelling in a wheelchair for disabled persons. The cuff would be custom made for the individual using it according their wrist size. The phone holder would also be made custom depending on the phone they have. The cuff can have different designs on it depending on the individual’s preference. Everything except the glass on top of the phone holder can be 3D printed. The glass would be touch sensitive to make sure the person using it can access their phone without having to take it out. My product is made using the measurements of an average person’s wrist (7”) and the phone holder is made for an IPhone 5s. But, as mentioned earlier, the sizes can be changed accordingly. There are pentagon shaped holes in the cuff to ensure air gets through to make it comfortable. Instructions The cuff is 3.5” in diameter to fit an average person’s wrist. It is 2.5” high to make it stable enough to hold the phones weight. The phone holder is made to hold an IPhone 5s (2.5” x 5” x 0.6”). As mentioned earlier, everything can be re-sized to accordingly. When this product is worn, the phone will be placed sideways. To use it, the person will need to rotate their arm 90 degrees just like how you would check time on your watch. There will be a hole in the touch sensitive glass to make sure the home button of the phone can be pressed to turn it on. The hole can be moved and re-sized accordingly.
