Cuckoo Birdhouse Sundial

Cuckoo Birdhouse Sundial

The initial birdhouse X design was appealing, yet it had an issue - the entrance hole size was too big according to my opinion. To rectify this, I reduced its dimensions to 25x40mm, making it more suitable based on online research. As for modifications, I drew inspiration from German Cuckoo clocks and incorporated a bird emerging hourly; however, I simplified the design by replacing the clock with a sundial. The gnomon serves as a perch for birds. This 3mm plywood creation can be cut using a preferred lasercutter, with each layout fitting two birdhouses sized at 600x300mm. The sundial design is from England, catering to a latitude of 51 degrees North; it might work for my country but may vary depending on your location's latitude. Nonetheless, traditional time-telling methods aren't crucial in this context.
