A custom-designed case is available for the Cubieboard. The upper part accommodates the board itself, while the lower section supports a SATA HDD (alternatively, a USB->SATA adapter from A-Data CH93 or a direct connection via Cubieboard's SATA port can be used). For successful printing, the bottom piece requires support structures, with a 45* angle recommended. The HDD case is separately usable and requires cushioning for safe operation; it accommodates the AData CH-93 electronics (USB) or SATA cable. These two cases can be stacked and secured using long screws or 3mm filament segments. The power button is created by melting a piece of 3mm filament on one side. Version v2 has thinner borders (4mm), a reduced bottom case height (by 2mm), and increased holes for HDMI, USB-OTG, audio, and IR connectivity. Additionally, the HDD case was adjusted to fit the Cubieboard case. These modifications have led to a 60% reduction in printing time.
