The fun idea originates from an image on the K3dsurf website, specifically http://k3dsurf.sourceforge.net/images/k3d1171.png. However, I chose to design mine in Solidworks as I prefer avoiding mesh elements. It's a basic model primarily for testing retract and stringing settings, jump and lift settings, and demonstrating the importance of minimum layer time setting in a slicer, which unfortunately, NetFabb currently lacks (though their newest beta version has a partial implementation). The Cubesphere 2 design is notably easier to print, featuring slightly thicker support structures that make a significant difference. If you can successfully print Cubesphere 1, it's an indication of having a top-notch printer!
