In designing a new structure, I focused on meeting technical specifications while using Al powder with selective laser sintering. Aluminium was chosen due to its lightweight, excellent thermal conductivity, low outgassing, and ability to handle temperature fluctuations better than plastics. The frame's color is black for maximum radiation emissivity, allowing heat transfer from the PCB through frame holders to the outer surface. Employing a 3D printing process, the design utilizes hollow rails that reinforce the frame. The structure consists of two parts serving as both PCB and solar cell holders, customizable for each Cubesat due to the use of additive manufacturing. Additionally, it includes space for scopes, cameras, or other sensors.
