Cubesat for addictive manifacturing
grabcad
The cubesat features a modular design, consisting of a 1U version made up of two halves joined by screws. To create 2U and 3U versions, simply add intermediate modules. The 1.5U variant requires a specific half. This architecture reduces the number of parts, enhances stability, and minimizes assembly imprecisions. Traditional processes construct rails based on surface roughness from 10mm squares. These rails lock onto dovetailed axles, secured by steps formed by structure components that clamp tightly to prevent movement. The wall depth may need adjustment depending on structural sizes and available screws. This project is designed for use with FDM-type 3D printers.
