This concept demonstrates two key points. Firstly, it illustrates the use of high-density materials like titanium (e.g., Ti) in constructing durable structures while employing hexagonal cuts to minimize weight, resulting in a 1U CubeSat weighing approximately 0.5 kg. The manufacturing process for this material is direct metal laser sintering. Alternatively, using aluminum alloy 6061 (Al 6061) results in a 1U CubeSat weight of about 0.3 kg and requires cnc machining. Secondly, it provides a straightforward method for assembling various CubeSat configurations, such as 1U, 2U, or 3U, using one upper and one lower part from the 1U CubeSat along with an appropriate number of middle parts. Assembling a 1U CubeSat requires eight screws. It is noteworthy that all dimensions, radii, holes, and other specifications are adjustable to suit specific requirements.
