The design encompasses two distinct components and consists of a total of three parts for a 1U cube (2 side covers and 1 main part). The cube's sidewalls boast a honeycomb structure, which reduces weight while enhancing rigidity. Rails are engineered with an internal framework to minimize weight and launching expenses by utilizing less material. The 1U cube can be manufactured using fused deposition modeling, selective laser sintering, or direct laser sintering techniques. A 1U cube can be expanded to a 2U, 3U, and so on., by increasing the number of main parts. Fasteners such as rivets, bolts, and nuts can be used to connect main parts of 2U and 3U cubes. The cube's structure offers eight corner holes for antenna, extra solar cells, or sensor installations, allowing sidewalls to be fully covered with solar panels.
