These are two models for a 2 unit CubeSat we're developing at ASTRE. The file is based on a makercase.com box and was worked into a CubeSat on LaserCut53. For more information about the TOLOSAT mission, visit http://www.astre-toulouse.com or contact us on Twitter @TOLOSAT1. If you have questions about lasercut files, please ask them in the Thingiverse comment section. There are two files: "Tolosat mockup 2U" is 90x90x200mm and "Cubesat mockup 2U" is a more standard 100x100x200mm. Here are a few things to know: They're both designed to be lasercut in a 3mm material. Black lines should be cut, green and grey lines should be carved, and blue and yellow lines should be engraved. The solar panels are detachable and can be painted if you like. There are eight small triangles that lock the removable panels in place – a rubber band can help. They're not deployable panels; they're just removable to see inside better. The flight model hasn't been designed yet, but having this 1:1 replica of a structure can help with compact arrangements inside a CubeSat. Feel free to remove the ASTRE logo and share with us on Thingiverse or Twitter if you've used our files! There will be some updates when we design other versions of the CubeSat. As always, keep making.
