CubePro X-Carriage Replacement
thingiverse
We have a few CubePro Printers at the maker space where I work, and this is a drop-in X-carriage replacement that allows mounting of a Titan Extruder clone with a V6 style hotend. This will hopefully serve as an easy swap-out part we can use when the proprietary printjets on our cubes start failing. This part is still in the testing and tweaking phase. It's being printed currently in PLA (the final version will be done in ABS), tested, and then the model is being tweaked. This revision fits the CubePro but hasn't yet been tested with the extruder and hotend. As new revisions are made, they'll be uploaded to this thing page with a revision number and changes noted here. Revisions: V1 was removed due to not working; it's been replaced with V1.5. V1.5.5 - The stepper motor didn't fit properly in the mounting bracket. I increased the bracket height by 2mm to accommodate it. V1.5.6 - Additional support has been added to the X-min endstop block. The old one worked fine, but this may ensure longevity as force is applied over time to the top of the block. V2.2.1 - The hotend mount was extended and mounting for a drag knife and holes for future plotter attachment were added. Current version: V2.2.1 (Split) - I saved 12 hours of print time and around 84 meters of filament by printing this in parts. The main plate has recesses to assist in gluing the pieces in place, and M3n3 nut hole tolerances have been increased by .2mm to allow for a better fit. The drag knife cutter mount was also lowered by 5.3mm. (Note that a new version will likely be done that changes the placement of these holes; this placement works just fine, however I don't like the placement of the M3n3 nuts.) Not that anyone should care with the CubePros being discounted, but you assume any risk and or liability for any mods you perform to your printer. If you break something or void your warranty, feel free to comment, and I'll try to help you; however, I assume no liability for what you do.
