Cube with frames for holding removable panels

thingiverse

This is a versatile cube featuring interchangeable modular panels, secured by frames within each side for effortless switching and customization. You can create your own unique panels that can be swapped out after printing to produce cubes with a wide range of artistic or functional characteristics. The panels can be any thin, square panel that fits the dimensions of the cube, which can be customized in the accompanying .scad file. The cube.scad file contains three variables that can be adjusted for accommodating different sized panels: Slot Size: This variable determines the panel size in mm that the cube will support. For instance, setting this to 40 allows the cube to hold 40mm x 40mm size panels. Indent Ratio: This ratio dictates how much of the frame should be empty space. Setting this to 1 yields no frames at all, while setting it to 0.9 results in frames taking up 10% of the slot size and leaving 90% open. Base Cube Offset: This variable adds a specified padding in mm to the cube outside the frame. For example, setting this to 10 makes the cube 10mm longer on each side without affecting the panel size. Note: There is an issue with OpenSCAD that causes preview mode not to render correctly; use render to view the proper cube instead.
