This has been the culmination of a life's work for me, and is now finally up and running after nearly two years of blood, sweat, and toil. It is also made on my bespoke 3D printed Makerbot (available on thingiverse.com/thing:3285), an innovation that holds immense promise. The printer can easily be elevated further by adding more Z-elements, replacing the existing lead-screws and wobble arrester bars, and then I will end up with nearly a meter's build height. It would not surprise me if this is one of the largest printed multi-piece objects in existence, as it is crafted from a whopping 7 kilograms of ABS plastic.
