To maintain compatibility with my Brainwave controller, I integrated a stepper motor on the X carriage of this hybrid core-XY and Cartesian bot. Unlike a typical Core-XY setup, I avoided long belts by opting for a 20mm T-slot extrusion and 10mm smooth rods throughout. Drawing inspiration from the CoreCube SAKURA versions 1 and 2, I redesigned certain parts such as the X carriage, both Y brackets, and the Z platform, while also incorporating a QU-BD extruder. Several components from the referenced design were utilized, including corner brackets, idler brackets, all three parts of the Z-Axis plastic, Y motor mounts, and an endstop bracket. This bot boasts impressive carriage movement speeds exceeding 200mm/sec. I am currently fine-tuning the printing speeds, anticipating rapid results. The design was created in openScad; please let me know if you'd like a copy of the file.
