Experimental Design for Dual Z-Axis Motor Setup Replacement in Cartesian 3D Printers. Cartesian 3D printers are now capable of being modified with a new experimental design that eliminates the need for dual Z-axis motor setups. This innovative design utilizes bearings, threaded rods and nuts with M5 specifications to achieve smooth and precise movement. Lubrication is achieved using white Teflon grease, eliminating any backslash issues caused by spiral gears. The inspiration behind this design comes from the Nema 17 right angle gearbox created by dasaki. Although I am unable to provide links to the original files due to restrictions, the aluminum profile required for mounting the stepper motor between the Z-axis lead screws is essential for a successful build. Please note that this design is still in its development stage and should be thoroughly checked before attempting to implement it in your 3D printing setup.
