Cube Puzzle: 5 x 5 x 5, Five-Piece Dissection
thingiverse
This is a classic five-piece dissection of a cube that is 5 x 5 x 5. I made an effort to highlight the unit cubes. Each unit cube is 12mm^3. While this stands as a puzzle on its own, it is also part of a forthcoming dissection of a 6x6x6 cube into three cubes, each of which is 3^3, 4^3, and 5^3. There are five pieces: 1. Twenty-four unit cubes 2. Twelve 3 x 2 x 1 units 3. Thirty 1 x 1 x 1 units 4. Forty 1 x 1 x 1 units 5. Forty-one 1 x 1 x 1 units Cundy, H. M. & Rollett, A. P. (1961). Mathematical models.
