Cube Libre puzzle
thingiverse
This entertaining puzzle by Mineyuki Uyematsu was showcased on Puzzle Will Be Played last week. http://puzzlewillbeplayed.com/444/CubeLibre/ It's an excellent illustration of a printable riddle that requires no assistance on RepRap printers. The 10 puzzle pieces can form both an 8x8 square and a 4x4x4 cube. A unique box was designed in Tinkercad for the player to engage in both games. https://tinkercad.com/things/8Jzfov4OYUA Instructions include printing ten complete puzzle pieces (with four of piece A, four of piece B and two of piece C). Both challenges are tricky, with only one solution for each. An optional box/tray can be printed to store the pieces and showcase the resolution. The pyramid-shaped box has a cube-shaped hole in the top and a square tray on the bottom. Printing the box is easy if your reprap prints bridges well; otherwise, support might be needed. This is indeed a delightful double challenge.
