Cube Holder
thingiverse
I built a stand with a sleek design, it's straightforward and that's all I aimed for - to securely hold a small desk item. A one-kilogram cube of Tungsten is what caught my eye, purchased from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tungsten-1kg-1-5-Cube-/112361510219?hash=item1a2944954b:g:nFQAAOSwuLZY5q1Z. I must say these blocks are pricey but they're truly exceptional items. They feel great in your hand and always spark conversation with visitors. The stand is made of PLA and holds the cube perfectly, using around 40% infill to give it strength - it could use some tweaking though and ABS would work just as well if you can print with that material!
