Cube Gears
grabcad
Thingiverse features various versions of the toy (http://www.thingiverse.com/search/page:1?q=CUBE+GEAR&sa). I created my own version based on the concept. The gears are regular bevel gears, carefully cut as per design (refer to the second animation). The model was designed using Solidworks 2015. It was rendered with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition. Frames were edited in Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP. The video was remuxed to MP4 with MyMP4BoxGui, while GIFs were created using PhotoScape. Editing of renders was done with IrfanView. Both 3D-PDF and ZIM files are animated. The ZIM file can be viewed on IOS and Android devices using the Simlab Viewer app, which is free to download. The model is available in multiple formats, including Solidworks 2015, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
With this file you will be able to print Cube Gears with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Cube Gears.
