A recently uploaded eight piece cube dissection puzzle can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1504225. This particular dissection of a 6x6x6 cube into eight pieces comes from Noam Elkies' answer to a question on mathoverflow, located at http://mathoverflow.net/questions/53048/cube-cube-cube-cube. The eight pieces can be combined to form three cubes with edge lengths of 3, 4 and 5 units. Alternatively, the 8 pieces can come together to form a single cube with an edge length of 6. The necessary OpenSCAD code is included. Print Settings: Printer Brand - MakerBot; Printer - MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation); Rafts - Doesn't Matter; Resolution - 0.3 mm. Building the Cubes: Each piece is labeled 1 through 8 and color coded for clarity, with rectangular blocks shaded blue and L prisms shaded red.
