I've been using my 3D Systems Cube 3 to print with ease, but one major hassle has always gotten in the way: when the filament breaks, it takes forever to open up the cartridge, remove the broken piece, insert a new one and shut the lid again. I figured there must be a better way to do this, so I set out to modify my cartridge case and came up with a clever solution. Using some basic 3D printing skills, I created a spool holder that attaches to the outside of the printer, allowing me to feed new filament without ever having to open up the cartridge again. Now when the filament breaks, it's a breeze to fix - no more wasted time or frustration!
