To optimize functionality, my design integrates numerous features into a few components. Unwanted screws and extra parts are eliminated; six net-shaped sides, directly machined from the machine, make up the cube. Only circuit mounting necessitates additional parts. Assembly should be as easy as IKEA. A locking device holds the cube together, sealed with RTV or similar. The design includes a robust frame structure combined with a lightweight lattice for low weight and strength. The lattice also protects against FOD and provides ventilation. Electronic parts are isolated at both ends to ensure shock protection. A self-locking mechanism holds the cube together, eliminating extra screws. Post-print assembly can be accomplished without additional machining. Manufacturing considerations include designing six individual sides for optimal nesting, reducing manufacturing failures and costs per part. SLS technology is chosen due to its resolution and small chamber size, further optimized by smart component nesting. High-performance aluminum or TI6AL4V titanium will be used for the material, both well-known in aerospace for their thermal conductivity and ability to withstand high temperatures.
